Super surprised I'm keeping up on this! Being a new mom is definitely a full time job, but I love it! :) even though I've had a couple moments of weakness and thought to myself "what in the world have we done..." I would not change it for the world! My little man is getting so big already! :( he is more alert and awake and loves to smile which makes me smile and cry happy tears!
We had a rough week as daddy was gone to a horse show which left me with Grayson all by myself! Feeling so grateful for a wonderful mother-in-law who dropped everything to come save me a couple of times! Grayson had his days and nights mixed up I swear! So running on little to no sleep all alone with a newborn with a tad bit of the baby blues made for a rough week. BUT we made it through and daddy is home and mommy has gotten the hang of things a little better! Yay!
Having trouble with nursing so we are exclusively pumping now, which is less stressful on all of us! Grandma had to come save us as Gray projectile vomited all over the two of us and where we were sitting! She showed me how to give Gray a bath twice (after each time we were covered in baby puke) which he loved! :) BUT now for me to give him a bath the poor bub just doesn't like it...maybe he'll warm up to them the more he gets them (fingers crossed)
When daddy came home we took Gray out to meet the horses, he loved being the the carrier so close to mommy :) the weather was perfect but we still overdressed the poor bub he was sweating like crazy! Whoops! :s better than being cold! :)
So excited as this weekend will be the first weekend back to church, love being able to show him off! #proudmommy Also Aunt Shawnda is coming to see us next week and we are so excited for her to finally meet Grayson and also for me to see little Kelsey my niece that I haven't seen since she was just a month old! She is now going to be 6 Months! :'(
It's 2am as I sit here wiring this...my little man has finished eating but is awake and fussy :) Oh the sleepless nights for which I am grateful for, for it means I am blessed with a family and the ability to care for them.
After my bit of baby blues I've taken each day and found the blessings and the lessons in each bout of crying, each night feeding, each obstacle as Gray, Braxton and I learn this road together!
I believe that is all for this week! Here's to another week of sleepless nights, spit up covered outfits, sweet sweet baby snuggles and new milestones as Gray hits his month old mark 💙
